{... and accepting entropy}

b. 1978

Toby Duncan studied Fine Art Painting at Norwich School of Art and Kingston University.

Despite the sense of order and function in his earlier work, recent output re-examines our relationship with entropy, and the rich, confused nature of our everyday perception of reality.

In the field of psychology, a 'prototaxic mode of experience' is a type of primitive experience characterised by sensations, feelings, and fragmented images of short duration that are not logically connected.

Perhaps this work gently urges us to consider the dis-integration of our own experience.
