You need 3 basic things for your website to work:
- The site itself (brilliant and up-to-date)
- An address or domain name (eg www.tobyduncan.com)
- A place for it to reside on the web.
I can provide all three, meaning that you only ever have to deal with one person for everything to do with your website. Simple.
Designing the look and feel of your site will be a creative, collaborative process: We will start with a blank page, a few basic ideas and perhaps some other sites which you like the look of.
I will send you several rough drafts for your feedback, comment and approval before we finalise and agree firstly the structure, then the layout, and finally the look of the site. Mostly this can be efficiently achieved through email correspondence and occasional phone calls.
If you have not purchased a domain name and are not sure how then just leave it to me.

Present a more dynamic looking site, make better use of space and say more to your customers with automated slide shows. They scroll through a series of images or text at timed intervals and add richness and interest to the user experience.
Give the viewer control of your slide shows: Let them pause, play, skip forward and back. Use thumbnail images to quickly preview before you click, and even enlarge images to ‘full screen mode’.

The use of ‘server side’ scripts means that no email addresses are visible to customers (or the malicious ‘spiders’ which crawl the web harvesting email addresses for scams and junk mail). A simple contact form is filled in by the customer and sent to you with the click of a button. No spam cluttering up your inbox means that you can concentrate on better customer service.
